The West African country is one of the poorest in the world, with the majority of the population living from fruit and vegetable cultivation. That is why we want to improve production processes, impart know-how and train specialist staff with our work on the ground - for sustainable agriculture. With our long-standing partner for mango and coconut chips on site in Burkina Faso, we create and maintain vital jobs in the long term, with the majority of employees there being women.
Pineapples have been grown, produced and packaged exclusively for us in the Eastern Cape in South Africa for over 10 years. The nutrient-rich soil and perfect climate ensure an optimal pineapple harvest, but it is also the high degree of manual labor and traditional techniques and structures that make for the special taste.
